Amma started with a simple question: what if every American had a healthcare advocate?

When you or someone you love gets sick, you’re often left to figure it out on your own. You piece things together through late-night calls, frantic Google searches, endless paperwork and maybe a well-connected friend or two. The US healthcare system is a maze, and millions of Americans are forced to become experts overnight, navigating everything from treatment options to follow-up care alone. We shouldn’t have to settle for this reality, especially not for something this important.

At Amma, we envision a world where no one has to navigate their healthcare alone. Our mission is deeply personal. Amma was inspired by our team’s experiences guiding their own families through the healthcare system and seeing firsthand how hard it is to find clear answers and trusted guidance when it matters most. We match patients and families directly with experienced healthcare advocates (typically nurses and care professionals) who help them navigate complex medical journeys. From understanding treatment options and finding the right specialists to scheduling appointments and securing medication, we ensure people get the support they deserve.

We’re building Amma with urgency and ambition. Our founders have spent years building and scaling successful healthcare companies, and we’re bringing that experience to a problem that touches nearly every family. We care deeply for our advocates as well, and are inspired to build a company that brings joy to their work. We’re a small, high-agency team that values ownership, clear thinking, and people who want to tackle hard, meaningful problems head-on.
